  1. I have a video and audio Standard AVI file, that I would like to keep the video as AVI and convert the audio to MP3. The reason I want this is:
I just got a JukeBox multimedia entertaiment center from ARCHOS.
It is capable to store songs, photos, and videos and it is portable
this device only plays videos with MPG4 and the audio track with
MP3. I was able to record the video but when I tried to playback
the video I have no sound at all because the audio is still in AVI
    format.
If somebody help me I will greatly appreciate it, because I am
having a hard time to figure out how to solve this problem.

    Thanks and regards
    Oscar.

I think virtualdub can do what you want it to do. You need to recompress the audio and directstream copy the video. You'll need an appropriate mp3 codec. I'm sure there are other great programs you could use as well. Sorry I can't offer more than just this non-specific post, but you need to recompress the audio into mp3 format. Check the tools sections for programs/codecs and do a google search on virtualdub guides.
