Hi once i have captured my vhs tape of say 1 hour 10 mins to my pc how do i split it to fit on a 700mb (80 mins) as a vcd disc?

You can use TMPGEnc. Use MPEG Tools...-->Merge & Cut. Or you use the Setting-->Advanced tab, double clicking on the Source Range function and copying each half of the original video.

Hi, tez!
1 hour 10 minutes is 70 minutes. You don't need to split the mpeg to fit an 80 minutes vcd.
