Hi,
I use Sony DAV-S300 home theater. (The one with the Reciver and the player in one + 5 speakers and a sub). For these who use it knows that in the manuals it saus that it doesn't support CD-R/RW. But I used a GPT 74XL (xCD-R and it worked fine. I can't really conclude what kind of CD-rs to use? Can any one please help me. The GPT that I used is no longer prodoced. Now they make (x12) which is a different layer (GOLD Layer) and the x8 were GREEN Layer. Does anyone tryed to use a spesific CD-R on it that worked?

yea i have the same dvd player. its pretty stingy about playing just about any kind of cdr's. the only one that i have found that always works is PRINCO 74 min. I buy mine here: http://www.knowledgemicro.com/query.php3?categry=7500 I tried 80 minute PRINCO's but got bad out of sync problems. Regular VCD's play fine, XVCD's play but if the bitrate is too high, sound gets out of sync. One last note: the vcds dont always play in the player on the first try- you may have to eject and push play again several times. hope that helps,
greg
