    Is Mediapipe mpeg2enc really VBR?

    just curious cause when i mouse over the text right next to the part that says vbr, the slider part , it says how "1" is high quality, but it goes up to 32, and if it was a vbr encoder, it seems like a 32 pass encode would be the best (take a long ass time) and i miss understanding this?? or is the mpeg 2 encoder capable of multiple passes??

    It is a single pass VBR encoder. 1-32 is the quality, not the number of passes. 1 is high quality.
