  1. Hmmmm. I am at my wits end. I have been using CCE for weeks now without any problems now I can't get it to work. Here is my process....

    -Smartripper to HDD
    -Create project in DVD2AVI
    -Create AVI wrapper with VFAPIConverter
-Load into CCE 2.64 and re-encode.

This has been working for me for quite some time. Now all of a sudden when I click "encode" the transcoding progress window opens and NOTHING happens. I have reinstalled CCE, verified that the "AVI" wrapper created by VFAPIConverter can be played in Media Player, used XPs system restore utility to return to the last good image, applied a patch called AVSREAD (someone reported that this fixed a similar issue), enabled compatability mode. Nothing works. Now I'm posting here and hoping for the best.

    Suggestions?

All else fails I will reinstall the OS from scratch. I don't want to go back to TMPGEnc. (Worked great but TOO slow)

    Thanks

    A few things.

    1) open the .avs in vdub and do a file/information to make sure it's got audio. Without audio many versions of CCE will hang. CCE does not do anything with it, but if it's notthere it has a cow.

    2) What was the last 3 things you installed before this stopped working? Do you have anti-virus/spyware detection and removal software?

I'm sure I'll think of more things.

  5. 30 day time limit. the watermark remove thing doesn't fix it. there is a patcher that removes this time limit, but i wouldn't know anything about it at all.

    Hmmmm this reminds me.......

While watching DVDs on my PC I accidently installed some DVD Player software that came on the DVD. My issue started after I uninstalled this software. Let me back track through my DVDs...... maybe if I reinstall this software the DLLs that were removed will be reinstalled.

Let you know if this works but keep the suggestions comming in case ......

Thanks to all how have helped so far.

ahh yes in your case uninstalling a dvd player app will unglue the mpeg2 codec totally or partially (works in some apps and not others - i have no idea how this is) .. often uninstalling a GOOD app like windvd and reinstalling it will make things right ..

i have to have cinemaster 2000 , windvd , ligos player/gomotion and cinemaster 1.5 all installed for different apps -- so far they all play well together .. installation in a specific order is best idea (never install cinemaster 2000 last)

you should be able to sort this out now quick ..

  8. Oh well. I had hoped to solve this issue without too much drama but nothing I have tried has corrected it. Anyways, my PC is currently being formatted. I should be up and running by tomorrow (I hope). This time I will ghost my machine so I have an easy restore option. Thanks for all the help.
