I am not able to watch NTSC DVD-movies properly (rolling picture) with my Pioneer DV-350 player. With my former DVD-player (LG 4730) I had no problems with NTSC movies. I did what the instructions in the manual said. I have a PAL TV. Any suggestions!

Are you sure that it is your player? This usually is a problem with the TV not being multistandard. Unless your player will convert a DVD from 1 standard to another, I suspect your TV.

(NOTE: In the US, virtually NO TVs are multistandard, while in Europe, most TVs are. DVD players just spit out the data at the rate specified on the DVD (mine does this, NTSC or PAL)).

  3. I've got a pioneer DV 350, same as you, and I did have a problem with NTSC VCDs and what I did was change the NTSC/PAL selection from AUTO to PAL. It tells you how to do that in the instruction manual, all you have to do is hold down the 'skip forward' button while the player is powered down, and then press the power button. Mine is now set to PAL, and I can play NTSC stuff ok....

    hope this helps
