DV to VCD -Audio crap

Ive tried converting DV video to VCD with little success.


I tried 2 methods:-

1)Panasonic encoder-Ok video ,sound out of sync and crap

2)Tmpeg- Excellent video, sound in sync, but very crackly
(I also tried using an external Audio tool in Tmpeg with no change).

It's convoluted but it'll work.

Use tmpgenc. But first extract the audio data from your avi as a wav file using something like virtualdub. Then EQ it by running it through something like sound forge with a few of their built-in filters. Then use toolame as your audio encoder in tmpgenc and read the EQed wav as your audio source.
