ive ripped the vobs (with dvd decriptor) and created the ifo and bup files with ifo edit and then corected the pointers and gotVts, i rip with nero and when i play it with powre dvd its fine, but when i play in my standalone it skips and turns off after chapter 16, ive tried burning it a few times but same problems, its a region 1 film and it used the 'brut force' method to rip it. please help

See my reply to your other problem - Software DVD players are so forgiving that there is no guarantee the disk will finally play in your standalone DVD player.

I suspect burn errors because of the media.

Do you have a good DVD-RW disk. It took me ages to find one that would play in my standalone in the end I bought a Verbatim DVD-RW (v1.1) at £6.99 and it works in damn near everything.
