    BACKED DVDS USING DVD2SVCD METHOD ALL GOES FINE .DVD BURNS FINE BUT WHEN I PLAY IT BACK IN MYSTANDALONE AFTER ABOUT 30 MINS THE PICTURE BECOMES VERY BLOCKY AND FREEZES THIS HAPPENS ON EVERY BACK UP I MAKE

    Generally when this happens to me its because I had buffer underruns during the burn process. If the .mpg plays fine on your PC your encoding is good so try to slow down your burn speed and also try a different brand of CD-R.

    This has happened a LOT to me lately. I think a LOT of Pioneer A04 owners may be having the same problem also. I narrowed it down to when I went from Firmware 1.20 to 1.32. Previous to that I had no problems with the media I was using. I fixed it by not using DVD-R. I exclusively use DVD-RW now. SO I presume it was a problem maybe with the media and Pioneer trying to get us to purchase their media.
    Also I only burn now at x1 (obviously as its -RW) where I was using x2 previous.
