I have posted quite a few times but never really got an answer from anyone.
Here is my situation: I have Attack of the Clones very excellent quality and its in a MPEG-2 and already seperated so it fits on 3 discs. It can be burnt on a SVCD and I can put it in my stand alone DVD player and it starts up but once it starts the sound is stuttery and along with the video. Yet when I play it on my DVD-ROM it plays just fine with the SVCD.
Now does anyone know what the problem could be? If anyone has a clue could you please tell me what I am doing wrong. I would appreciate it please thanks :P

I had that problem, it's the bitrate. It's too high for your dvd player to handle
-
It sounds like the bitrate it's encoded at is too high for your DVD player.
Download a program called BitrateViewer and scan one of the mpegs.
2520 is standard for SVCD. -
or .....
You didn't make these yourself.... right? So in addition to bitrate could also be:
May not be encoded for your Country type NTSC or PAL.
OR... If ntsc could need 3:2 pulldown (up) if 23.97. cause framerate may be wrong for your player (some need 29.97).
Check the specs and post them. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway. -
definetly too high a bitrate!!
I get the same prob when I try to make Xvcds"The software said Win XP or better, so I Installed Linux" -
Well yea ok I understand the bitrate is high, but is there anyway I can change or fix the bitrate? Please response :P Thanks

You can run it through TMPGEnc encoding to Mpeg 2 with lower bitrate (2520 max) but i believe this way the output file's quality will be far from perfect.

You will have to reencode no matter what you do.
In addition to tmpgenc:
Look on the left of this page at "Other"..."Tools" ...Other Video encoders and try a free tool called ReMpeg.
Another free tool... Under Decoders DVD ripping is Mpeg Mediator. If you choose this one then when you download it get the full install version. This one may be a little more complicated if you never used BBmpeg or flask because it is a similar design. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
