The file that broke the camels back

Please help me...its doing my head in!!

d/l insomnia xvid.avi...2 files
converted them to mpg(svcd) both played but were to big to burn.
joined them new file 1.62 gig
media player sometimes plays the file but with only 5 secs of audio
virtualdub now won't except the file ( i was going to save as wav and convert again)
tred to convert the whole thiong through tmpeg but said it was going to take 330 hours

what can i do?? should i just give up and d/l again or can I do something to get it on to 2 cd's.

also the second file i converted came out with file size 787meg but nero wouldn't let me burn it saying there was not enough room on disk.(tried a couple and said same thing)

anyone anywhere anytime please help if poss..

Your best bet is to split it in 3 parts for 3 CDR/RWs (use TMPGEnc to split it).

P.S. For your second file (787 MB one), did you burn it as data CD or SVCD? If the latter then it should fit onto 80 min CDR (700 MB). Does your burner allow overburning?
