DVD-R and PS2 playback problem

I encoded 2 divx files into dvd via tmpgenc, then authorized the dvd with spruce up , then compiled the files , I then burned the dvd video with nero. Now here is the problem , the movies work fine on a dvd player and xbox . But on ps2 the dvd loads fine and it shows the menu , then aftewr the movie(s) selected it started playing for about 2-3 seconds (sound and video both work) it cuts off . Anyway i can fix this . I also tryed the dvd-rs on another ps2 and it had the same results. Thanks in advance. By the way i have the Pioneer A04 and I used optodisc media.
