    Where does MyDVD rank amongst the various DVD authoring tools out there.... Is it good, or junk?

    I don't know it only crashed for me or tried to re-encode my mpg's.

    On a recomendation from another forum I'm giving Ulead DVD Workshop a try.

    Ooh.. reencoding is a no no.. I want something that wont touch it.

    Anyone else?

    All these authoring progs cost some bucks $$$, I just want to make sure I get a decently good one..

    Yes,MyDVD is junk,because it will only encode audio as PCM. This puts 25% of your file size into audio,compared to 5-6% using ac3. I would look at SpruceUp it handles ac3 and mpeg audio. It's very easy to use.
