  1. Hello

Ok, this might not EXACTLY be a VCD, but this is the best place to go to find out about MPEG related topics, so here I am.

Anyway, I want to export rendered videos directly from Lightwave 7.5 in MPEG format. I need the quality to be VERY high (size isn't an issue). I am at a loss as to how to get this to happen. I don't know if there is some sort of codec I need to install or something, but I can't get it to list MPEG as an option for exporting. I have .AVI (which lets me export as DiVX, etc), .MOV, but no .MPG.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

best quality -> render as targa files and encode with tmpgenc or CCE or MC

    or

export as lossless type avi (huffyuv) or uncompressed and encode with same as above ..

problem with space ? render to compressed targas or jpegs with quality set to 100 or no lower than 90 - encode as above

  3. I've basically been doing that, except for using DiVX as the compression scheme, rather than uncompressed. When I use TMPG, it makes it too blurry/lossy, and loses a lot of detail. Is DiVX too lossy a compression to use with TMPG?
