Problems with ReMPEG2..... :(

I can get ReMPEG2 tp start encoding and all that, but after about 1 or 2 minutes it stops and Windows says it encountered an error and needs to close, have a nice day and it asks if i want to send a error report. I'm using Win XP pro, i know thats probbly the problem. anyone know how to fix this? thanks in advance.

im using rempeg2 to encode on xp pro and never encountered an error with it.

have you got everything setup right?
have you tried reinstalling?

reinstalling??? there isn't a install, is there?? the only thing in the .zip file i downloaded from doom9.org was a .exe that i run off the desktop, i never installed anything. is there a different version that i need to get that has a installation??

sorry m8, your right it is just an exe.

try looking under dvd rip in how to, theres a tutorial called newbie dvd ripping and in there is where i first got my settings for rempeg2.

i dubble checked my settings, and it still screwes up. you using SP1?

sorry m8, whats SP1.

if its a file name then no.

i use smartripper to produce .m2v and .ac3
then re-encode with rempeg2 using the .m2v file.
