  1. Hi. I'm new here, as you may guess!

Anyway, I am wanting to make my own proffesional TV program. I am going to use two digi camcorders. I need advice on what are my options on changing between cameras?

Also, what is the quality of SVCD's like? Can you tell much difference between that and normal tv? Also how much good quality vid can you record onto a SVCD?

I take it is not a live show, so just let both cameras roll all the time.

And it is during the video editing you "merge" these two different
    video sources.

    proffesional TV program
How do you plan to disribute this "pro" show?

Best would just be to send it back as a DV-avi to the digital camcorder
and give the tape to the tv station.

No pro would do without a DVDR burner.

SVCD can look better than "normal tv" and you can have 30-40 min
of video at very high quality. However, if this is going to air, you
are going to need broadcast quality equipment. You could rent
studio time or as tonyp12 says, send them your tape and cross
your fingers that they will accept it.
