  1. For those of you that use this to capture in the SVCD setting what are yall using to burn the file with ? Or you encoding it to SVCD with something else? Also say u capture TV shows what program are you using to edit out the commercials?

  2. You can Nero to burn it.
SVCD is in mpeg2 format, you can edit it with tmpgenc,
but most likely will induce a half second error where you cut and paste.

  3. i accidently had the setting on ATI VCR instead of the mpeg setting that was my problem with that. I've use to use tmpeg to do my editing and encoding but i don't do that much encoding anymore except dvdrips then i use CCE. I have tried pinnacle dv 4.5 to edit with i don't like the app. premier dosen't want to open my mpegs, and dazzle moviestar it sucks. I have the pinnacle studio 8 but i have found out that if you have pinnacle DV then studio will crash it you can eventually get it 2 work.

I'm using it...I use tmpg to edit out the commercials. For some reason, it appears to be out of sync, but when I burn the svcd with Nero, it's all synched up for watching with the dvd player.

  5. the ATI cinemaster MPEG-2 codec sometimes loses sync on PLAYBACK. so just because it seems out of sync on the computer doesn't mean it is. search around for my instructions on removing the codec, i think the one from windvd is much better.
