  1. I am transcoding 7 min 34 sec long 48.0Khz 23.976 fps WAV to 44.1Khz 25 fps CBR 224 Stereo MP2 using BeSweet. Originally the WAV was AC3 sound downmixed to WAV using headac3he. The transcoding has already taken 1 hour and hasn't finished yet. Is it likely given my PC is AMD Athlon 1900+, 512 RAM?

sounds to me like something is wrong.
I don't take that long to do a full movie's worth of transcoding using the same settings on my PIII 800 w/512MB of RAM

  3. Thanks fantomlord,

I tried the same WAV file with GoldWave - it did it in under a minute.
Something's definitely wrong with my BeSweet setup - don't know what though...

Cheers anyway, i'll be using GoldWave now.

    Regards.
