Chapters, menus and so on...

What is the best program to use to make chapters and menus on a SVCD? Also if my dvd player can play sacd can it play svcd?

The "best" (in terms of flexibility and authoring power -- and cost!) is undoubtedly VCDImager.

For the beginner, I suggest that you start by using a GUI like VCDEasy. As you progress, you may want to learn how to manually edit the XML file yourself... Once you start and realise the flexibility/power of this, you don't turn back!

VCDImager itself is free software. There are a number of quite good commercial ones as well (e.g., VideoPack 5).
