Can you run any other programs. Is this a new problem? If yes what did you install last?
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

First off you didn't complete your profile so I don't even know what you have as OS and equipment.

Don't even know if you came to the right place cause this may not even be a forum issue.

    1) Did u install windows in a different place or re-install over top of the old one?
    2) Why did you reinstall. You must of had a reason if everything worked before?

I am asking these questions to determine if your windows dir was moved then all your codecs need to be reinstalled.

If not, it could point to more serious install issues.

medievil had a good point too. Reinstall dx81 directshow if not already done.

If its not that then you have some device/driver conflicts.

I had a conflict before with nimo codecs also powervcr4 conflicted with all my Intervideo player/recorders. Had to uninstall all codecs and put back 1 by one til I hit the problems.

I don't run xp so hope someone chimes in with further help.
