  1. Just bought a TV card in order to transfer VHS to VCD. No problem burning, but the picture and sound quaility is V Bad. Any ideas on how to reslove this. If I could just get it to VHS quality I would be happy.

Converting from AVI to MPEG with TPMG
Burning to CD with East CD creator Platinum.

    Any help is much appreciated.

  2. What format are you capturing in.

I find YUY2 with huffyuv gives very good results.

Is the quality bad after convertion, or is the avi bad quality to start with.

I hate to break it to you, but unless your capturing from a digital source, your captures are not likely to exceed or meet your expectations. If your trying to convert to VCD, then you may as well thow that whole idea out the window. CVD, or SVCD will give you better results. It all depends on your source (VHS), and the quality of your tapes.
