Any one had any luck converting the movie, "Enough" (jennifer lopez).
I get to about 1hour 36 minutes and the thing goes screwy.

  2. I think you got XviD AVI since "Enough" that is widely available on the net is encoded using XviD. Follow my guide here:

    Thanks for the tips.
But I'm not sure it's an Xvid problem, I thinks it's some kind of video corruption as the first 96 minutes encoded fine.
    Will certainly try it though.

    maccool111,
I suggest you scan your copy of Enough for junk frames with VirtualDub. I converted the same movie (probably from the same source) without any problems after frame-serving thru VDub. That being said I frame-serve all my Xvid files thru VirtualDub since TMPGEnc has a habit of choking on Xvid files.

If you change plug-in priorities in your TMPGEnc as described in this guide

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=119019

then it won't choke on your XviD files.

    0 kewl,
Been there, done that. Doesn't work all the time. Thats why I suggested frameserving. The problem is with the Xvid codec itself and the fact it's constantly being revised making some versions not 100% compatible with others. Frameserving converts the data to RGB and I've yet to see it screw up.

followed the instruction of the frameserve page "To the letter" and it just sat there and did nothing.

    maccool111,
Did you check out the trouble shooting section of the guide? The latest release of VirtualDub is missing the msvcr70.dll which you can download here at: http://www.logoslbe.com/msvcr70.dll and place it in the C:\Windows\System32 directory. I could go further into the trouble shooting steps, but the guide is pretty complete in this regard and anything I post here would be redundant.

There must be 2 different Xvid versions of ENOUGH out there, both same size but ever so slightly different as the second one I downloaded had no corruption and converted easily 1st time.
