New to Premiere....how do I place a clip where I want it on the timeline...everytime I do, I always have to place it at the beginning of the track...how do I put it say, on v2 above v1, but towards the end of v1...get my question?

Place your mouse over the start of clip2 on v2, it will beome a red [, you can press on your mouse and drag it to where you want to place it...
or you can use storyboard to automate to timeline.....
