Somebody please help me!!
If I drop a newly captured 5.44GB Huffyuv compressed AVI into TMPGEnc it'll encode it just fine and tell me it's processing 42,643 frames.
This is all fine until I then edit that file in VirtualDub (1.4.10) and take OUT footage making my final AVI after doing a direct stream copy (both audio & video) a 4.64GB AVI now with 36,509 frames.
HERE'S WHERE I PULL MY HAIR OUT! --> I then take that smaller file with less frames than the original and drop it into TMPGEnc and the encoder now tells me it's processing 79,459 frames.
Could somebody please tell me what's going on here? If I cut the original down to 10,000 frames and save it, TMPGEnc sees the correct number of frames. It doesn't make any sense.![]()
