    after opening virtual dub then click on file>capture avi i get an error message "Can't initialize the Ciao" so i click ok then i get this message "error 418 Capture driver is not installed properly" so i click ok then this comes up "virtual dub cannot connect to the desired capture driver, trying all available drivers" then i click ok and the screen is fuzzy.
    ive got huffyuv installed etc etc , can anybody shed any light on this please , please

    What is your capture hardware? Have you installed the hardware drivers? VD likes to capture from YUV sources I believe and does not work with some capture cards like MPEG cards.

    If you have a program that came with the card try that first to make sure your hardware setup is fine.

    :P hello there ,im using a hauppauge pci slot tv capture card think its win tv, got off somebody second hand so ive no software with it , run v d aux setup and it appears to be ok
