  1. Pinnacle is offering a $19.99 upgrade of Premiere 6.0 to 6.5 for those who bought certain packages of theirs within a certain window of time. That's me. $20 isn't much to risk. Are the improvements (if any) worth it?

6.5 has MPEG support. So now you could capture, edit and convert to MPEG all inside of Premiere! For $19.99, I would jump on it!

  3. Yes it is worth it. The changes to the title creator is worth $20 for me. Also, if you import lots of still pictures to create a video slide show, 6.5 resizes them correctly, where version 6 didn't, and rendered black frames many times.

  4. Thanks guys, sounds like a no-brainer. Looks like I have to open my case to read the serial number off the card. Next time I'll write it down before I install.

Linelle - you do mean Adobe rather than Premiere don't you? Pinnacle produce NLE tools such as Studio 8 and Adobe produces the higher end Premiere tool

Why on Earth would Adobe offer a discount to someone who bought a Pinnacle product?

They are for people who just purchased and registered Premiere 6.0. Some of the higher-end Pinnacle Systems boards are bundled with Premiere 6.0

Which is why PINNACLE is offering the discount, not Adobe.
