Pioneer dv-545

Dear all,

I have bought a Pioneer DV-545 in Japan (region 2). Can anyone help me and explain how to make it region free? I know it's only software, I don't need to chip it or anything. The problem is how do I do it? How do I connect the pc to the dvd player to flash the firmware? What software do I use?

Can ayone help me???? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

As far as I know, its not possible to make a Pioneer player region free by using the remote to enter a 'hack'.

HOWEVER

You should be able to play DVDs from any other region.

PLEASE, PLEASE! Vote on the poll connected to my post, even if this doesn't work - no-one yet has even replied but as far as I can see, there are no other multiple-machine pioneer hacks apart from mine! Where's all my thanks?!? Just kidding!
