I finally managed to get a dvd quality mpeg2 from my dvdcam. It is 350megs. Now I want to edit the video. I need some good advice because I'm new to this. I'm assuming I'll need to convert this mpeg2 into .avi format then import the avi into something like Premier??? If I convert this file to an .avi how big will it be? Will it be more than 60gigs? I also don't want to lose any quality. It seems like it would be huge, and would it take Premier like a day just to open the thing if it's this large?
Can anyone please get my newbie self on the right track? I plan to buy a hard drive today but am not sure how large to go, will 60gig be enough?
Thanks for any help!![]()
