  1. Im new @ burning VCDs for a DVD player, SO my Question is Am I doing this right?
Ill note right now that I dont have a DVD player but Ive givin some Discs to a couple of friends & they both have said that they dont work. Here is what Im doing

    #1 Download .TAR file
#2 Using WinRAR wizard to unpack file
#3 checking the SFV files w/ BSEasySFVCheck
#4 Extracting the .RAR file w/ WinRAR to make the Bin/Cue file
#5 Using vcdgear to get a Mpg file w/the cue/bin files
#6 Burn using Unleas DVD Movie Factory

Well Acually Ive only burned one so far using Unlead but with others ive used Nero.
Like I said both of my friends have said that they dont work (havnt tried the on I used Unlead with yet)

I dont know if their DVD players (ill be getting the Make & Model # later tonite)Can play them.

So if someone could be kind & let me know if I am doing this right.

    Please & Thank you

  2. I'm not sure what *.tar file means but....

If a file is already a bin/cue, check to see any *.nfo or txt files to see if it's already in a VCD format! Then all you would do is burn it w/ Nero or CDRWIN.

If you just have an MPEG-1 VCD Standard file then you can use nero to author it or Easy CD Creator...or a dozen other proggies.

MAKE SURE ALL YOUR MPEGS ARE STANDARD VCD READY FILES! OTHERWISE RECOMPRESS THEM USING TMPEGENC!

  4. Try burning the Mpeg (if it is Mpeg ) in Nero as Video-CD with Create Standard Compliant CD ticked. If Nero encodes it with no warning messages then it is a compliant Mpeg. Otherwise it isn't.
