I need some help here!!!! After I deleted captured files from Pinnacle Studio 7, it did not free up any hard drive space!!!!! What is the problem here??? Does Pinnacle save these files somewhere within its program that might possibly also need deleted? I sent the captured file to a folder, and deleted it from there, but it still did not free up any space?? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! I tried searching Pinnacles site, but could not find a solution.

We did that!!! Also have done a search for the file and can not seem to find it on the C: drive. Currently running XP home, and deleted the file from the folder it was sent to and emptied recycle bin, but that did not free up the hard drive space. Ok, so whats your second suggestion?

I run Studio 7 and have not experienced anything like you are - it does not sound like a S7 problem. Although you may want to try the "delete auxillary files..." option under the file menu - these are temp files Studio creates when rendering transitions etc.
My last suggestion is to run scandisk (or chkdsk) as it may be that you have cross-links between your files. -
Studio7 creates a temp folder under My Documents. You might want to check your My Documents, and look for a video-related folder name (I don't remember what the name is). As mentioned in the previous post, these are intermediate files created when you rendered the video.
I'm assuming that you're done with your project, so you want to free up disk space.
hope this helps. -
Ok, guys, you are not going to believe where it was!!! It was in the Norton Protected Recycle bin. so we deleted it from there and that still didn't work, so then went to Norton Unerase Wizard, clicked on list files, and there they were!!! clicked delete, and bang! Hard drive space is back!!
Just wanted to let you guys know that, just incase anyone else out there running Pinnacle Studio 7 and Norton SystemWorks 2002 Pro, has the same problem!!!! Thanks for your input though!!
