  1. Does anyone know of a (preferably free) program that can create VCDs with support for menus and playlists? I want to create a VCD with a main menu that has an option for each video and a "Play All" option. I know that Adaptec VCD can do it, but I don't have access to that any more. Is there an easy way to do this without personally writing the xml code? Is there a way to do this in VCD easy? If so can someone tell me how?

  3. That's not really what I mean. I want the menu to have four buttons that do this:

    Button 1 - Play videoA.mpg only.
    Button 2 - Play videoB.mpg only.
    Button 3 - Play videoC.mpg only.
    Button 4 - Play videoA.mpg, followed by video B.mpg, followed by videoC.mpg.

Is there any way to do this?

The VCD standard does not support this directly. What I was thinking is that you could join them all together into one mpg and then use the chapter feature in VCDEasy (or other software) to be able to select by number. You could also create a still showing the clips and their numbers that will play when the VCD is inserted.

Try the latest VCDEasy. It has support for interactive menus as you describe. I've done it and it works!
