I have .mpv (only video) and .mpa (only audio) files. Is it possible to multiplex them in Ulead DVD Workshop authoring program and to have final .mpg file with video and audio?
    Thanks...

  2. No
You must first multiplex the streams in TMPGEnc or similar program.
Choose mpeg tools and go to multiplex, then simply add your video and audio file and press run.

After I multiplex video in TMPGEnc, I get non DVD compliant file in DVD Workshop .
Then DVD Workshop reencodes the file but I don't want it to do this. Is there any solution?

  4. If you are running a purchased version of DVDWS apply the V1.3 update patch at

    http://www.adstech.com/support/downloads/drivers/drivers.asp?os=Windows&product_id=USBAV-700

This patch will allow you to import elemental streams. Go to the edit screen select video and load your video.mpv. Select general audio and open your audio.mpa file. Drag and drop your video.mpa on new title. Do the same with the audio.mpa. Finish your menus whatever and go the finish page. Check do not convert compliant files box (new in update 1.2) in the center of the page. Create your dvd. It works for me.

    PS Fixed the link. Sorry.

  5. Hi !

Will Ulead DVD Workshop then be able to author more
than just one audio track to one video track?

Are you sure that this is the right link? This link goes to nowhere. I've been on Ulead web and there is only 1.2 update and I am already running 1.2 version of DVD Workshop.

  7. @ Stile:

Here is the correct link: http://www.adstech.com/products/USB_Instant_DVD/downloads/drivers/DWS13_E_Patch_SM.exe

And here you can have a look at its features:
    http://www.adstech.com/support/downloads/drivers/drivers.asp?os=Windows&product_id=USBAV-700

I assume that you use windows...

P.S.: The point of this patch is: You take your mpg-file and put some mpa
(just rename mp2 to mpa) as an alternative audio file to it. If it works
    with mpv I didn't try.

  8. Stile Sorry about the bad link. Since this is not the 'official" (to my knowledge Ulead has not posted the update) release I am not sure it contains all changes (improved mpeg encoder). It looks an early release for ADS support. Just a caution.

DVDWS will accept mpa, wav,... but unfortunately not ac3.
