I hope someone can help me with this, I am mostly a newbie when it comes to ripping DVDs.
I have a DVD that has a bunch of bands on it, in other words, it is not a movie. When I try to rip it, I get a large .vob file that appears to have all of the 'chapters' in it but when I encode I only get one of them.
When I play the original DVD, it does not have an option to play the entire DVD but instead it has a menu. After you watch each 'chapter' it brings you back to the menu where you can pick another one.
Here are my questions:
1 How can I encode the other chapters in the.vob file?
2 Is there a better way to do this? I'm using the steps outlined in "Sefy's Ultimate Newbie DVD Conversion Guide v2.0" and have tried CladDVD XP and SmartRipper. The only difference I can see is that with CladDVD I end up with the first 'chapter' and with SmartRipper I end up with one of ones in the middle (ie. not the first one).
3. I think my .vob file is good because when I extract the audio into a wav file it appears to have all of the audio in it, but it's hard to tell for sure.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me with this. I have learned a lot from this site, it is very well done!
