I bought the Panasonic DMR-E20 new for $499 at Circuit City the DMR-E10 new through Amazon.com for $399 and I pay $1.25 per DVD-R and $5.95 per DVD-Ram, cheap enough for me, bought the Sampo 631CF DVD player, put the hack in and I can copy ANY DVD I need and out local lcity Library has over 900 DVD's and the County Library has over 1200 DVD's and you can check them out free and reserve them over the net. It all sounds cheap enough for me, of course to be legal you can only backup DVD's you own only. Guess what your tax dollar goes towards paying for the DVD's at the Library so in a way everyone in that county or city owns those DVD's. I know I am spitting hairs, but I helped pay for them so I feel I can do what I want with them also, while I have them checked out. Hollwood don't like it, then they can tell the libraries to stop spending my dollars on them then.
