From the fine folks at studio321.com (grin, chuckle, roll eyes)

read the ad yourself at >>>>>> http://www.dvdxcopy.com/

A beta version is scheduled for release on Oct 14th, with the real version being released on October 28th. >>> got a $100?

I was not impressed with their last program which was basically a rip off of others work, more like dvd2svcd except they charged for it and it didn't work as well, dvd2svcd is free.

I know the company dosen't enjoy a great reputation, but the president of the company has been writing on a thread over at afterdawn.com and he says the program is
    1. the compay's work, not copied from others and that
    2. it does work.

Participate in the conversation and he said he would send out beta versions for all intrested posters, via your email address.

Just thought I would start a conversation about it.

I know tyris over at doom9 is working on a program called ReDVD, but you would still have to author the M2V and AC3 files into a writing program (spruce) and then burn in a burning program (Nero).

    So what do you think?

  4. I don't know much about programing......just like on the link.. I don't think a dvd-9 will fit in a dvd-5, my understanding is dvd-5 can hold supposedly up to 4.7 gig...so if you have a dvd-9 that can hold I think up to 8.7 gig how can you fit all that information without recompression..
is there a fine print that say onlydvd-5 type dvd that they can gurantee the process?????

    just my 2 cents...

  5. If you look at their screen shoots you see that the program
    says it needs 2 DVDR.

So they do nothing but split up a DVD-9 to two DVD-5.

You only need IFOEDIT to do that and these guys charge $100?

Someday there will be a point and click program that transcode and
keeps all menus and fit everything on a DVDR.
But it will not come from 321studio as they are a bunch of lamers.
