    TMPGEnc can convert some asf file to mpg and other it just hangs and I have to dig out my copy of Virtuadub 1.3c to convert it?? When TMPGEnc can't convert the asf file, it wastes my time that I have to use Virtuadub to convert it to plain avi before I can convert it to mpg.

    maybe cuz the audio needs to be decompressed...
