well ontop of what ya_jai suggested
    - how about the video frame sizes
    - why you want to cap in powerdvd
    - what your final intention is

there was a guide a couple of days ago about how to convert wmv to mpg fairly easily - have you read this?

I'm not trying to be difficult here - but the more info you can give the better your chance of getting an satisfactory working answer

  8. If you have all of the correct codecs installed it should just be a matter of loading it into TMPGEnc and selecting your output format and specs. I use it for ALL of my conversion from avi,wmv and mov to mpeg1. CCE does a better job if you want to go to mpeg2.

    Akhet:

The answer to your question is in the error message you received! Your source video resolution is not divisible by 8. Just change your output resolution, either a little smaller or a little larger, so it is divisible by 8.
