Hi all,
Is there a way of importing the original chapter list into Spruce Up.
I've just done Harry Potter (Movie only). I ripped the video stream and the one audio stream with smartripper and then transcoded the m2v down to the right size to fit on the DVD-R and what I want to know is, can you import the chapter file that smartripper created into Spruce UP or any other authoring program to save having to manually put in all the chapters and try and get them in the right place?
Also, to burn to DVD+R can you use the same method for authouring and burning or is it completely different? And if it is, can anyone link me to a guide please.
Thanx in advance
Jimmy(not so much of a fuckwit about this subject anymore)vcdfuckwit.

It is just as easy to use IFOEdit to show the DVD chapter points, and then manually put them into Spruceup. If you re-encode using anything other than ReMPEG2, then this is the only way to do it (since the true chapter entry points will most likely have changed).

Get DVD Maestro for authoring. Smartripper might be able to create a DVD Maestro chapter list. If it can't then you can use Chapter Xtractor (this is what I use). I started using SpruceUp like you, but quickly got tired of manually entering the chapter information. Maestro+Chapter Xtractor solved the problem for me.
Also, authoring DVD+R should be exactly the same as DVD-R. The only difference will be to make sure your burning software supports the burner. -
If you use DVD Decrypter to rip it will create a DVDMaestro text file that you can use to import the original chapter points. If you need help concerning DVDMaestro email me.
