Okay, this is what I want to do...

Rip a dvd to files.

Convert the vobs to avi's (mpeg2).

Recompress the video to manageable file sizes.

Create new vob's from the resized avi's.

Replace the ripped vob's with the resized ones.

Burn to dvd-r with full menu's extras etc.

A tall order, maybe a pipe dream. But can it be done?
