  1. I have converted several different files to MPEG-1 (both PAL and NTSC) with TMPGenc (both with and without virtualdub) and burned the VCD with VCDEasy (in VCD 2.0 format). I then attempted to play them on my Panasonic DVD-RV32 (which should be fully compatible). All have the same problem: they will play for about 10-15 minutes on the RV32, then they will freeze and I will have to shut off the DVD player. The bitrate is okay, the framerate is the same as the source, all of that is fine... The movies play fine on software players (PowerDVD). I have tried both Imation CD-R and Fuji CD-R. I have burned at 4x, 8x, and 40x. All give the same results. Could the low quality of the files I am converting be at fault? Most of the files are in the standard resolutions already, so I wouldn't think that should be a problem.
