I ave both a widescreen and a 4:3 tv and would like to be able to playback my films on both. The problem is I like to encode my vcds/svcds as 16:9 aspect ratio (with 4:3 encoding) and when it come to watching it its obviously fine on the widescreen tv and not on the 4:3 tv.

Ive tried encoding as 16:9 but my player doesnt handle it. Is there a format that DVD players support for 16:9 encoding (miniDVD or cDVD) ?
