  1. Are there any other owners of this DVD player experiencing complete freeze on the widescreen version exactly at 84:01 at the layer change?

I know there are a few of you out there with this combination.
If you are NOT having this particular problem please post why not, thanks in advance.

  6. DId the new disc work? There is a huge number of people with Pioneer players that are having the same issue. Check out the threads at hometheaterforum or hometheaterspot. It only seems to be Pioneers. I have a panasonic which has no problem with the layer change but I copied the movie to DVD-R to avoid the terrible layer change.

  7. Have not tried the new disc yet.
Check out the thread on www.thedigitalbits.com as well.
NOT JUST Pioneer players, also major problems on Sony Toshiba & Samsung, WAIT WTF is wrong w/ that? OH YEAH, I know!!!! these are THE COMPANIES WHO CREATED THE DVD STANDARD.

Who told Disney to master discs to be unplayable to company products who set the standards???

Anyway, that's all for now. But, I strongly suggest returning the discs and complaining loudly, & complaining to Disney .... there SHOULD be a recall if a product is not standard, if it is sold as such .

I will post Disney's tech support answers to me later just so anyone can have a giggle.
