I will get it right in the end

I don't know exactly what that error means, but I use inexpensive DVD-Rs in my A03 that are rated 2x, and I have found recording and playback is most reliable when I burn at 1x. The extra write-time isn't a big deal for me.
Have you tried burning at 1x with verification? -
I have seen it caused by three things.
1) Your Laser is on its last leg and it won't be long before you will need a new drive.
2) Crappy media can cause the drive not be able to finish its OPC(Optimum Pwr cal routine) prior to writing.
3) I have seen Nero do this after an Upgrade. I had to remove it completely and reinstall.
Its usually #2.
