Rip mvoies directly to vcd

I was told with the program called easy DVD ripper thta you can easily create a vcd from a dvd by making somekinda of mpg.. I got the program but when i hit open it says pleaseinsert disc into dvd drive or change the dvd drvieer letter in the .ini file..so I did.. and it still says the same error.. can anyon help me o r give me more info on th program.........?
