Thanks for the input on my audio problem. Re-ripped with DVD Decrypter and paid attention to the audio tracks this time. Did my first burn tonight using my A04 and cheap Princo DVD-R with no problems, other than the aspect ratio isn't quite right. My only question is what burning program works the best? I downloaded the trial version of Gear Pro DVD, but am wondering if Maestro, Nero, or any others work just as well.

Maestro doesnt burn much of anything unless you have an authoring dvd-r kicking around.

i burn dvd's with prassi , svcd and data w/ nero and bin cue w/ cdrwin

Depends on your setup. You'll get an equal amount of replies supporting each of the major software burning packages, it's just a matter of experimenting - most if not all have trial versions.
I can't use Nero at all for burning discs for my Pioneer set top player (I found this out from the DVD Players link on the left and confirmed it once I got my burner). I have also tried Record Now Max and Gear Pro. After much testing (use RW so no giant collection of coffee coasters ) I found that my Pioneer requires discs to be burned as dvd images, so I use DVD Decrypter's ISO Write mode.
So far using this method I have written several movies to +R and +RW discs (although +RW are better overall - under £3 now as well).

yes i agree - burning DVD's from a image is best for compatability .. for some reason ..
i use prassi to burn maestro images ..
