I've ripped Monsters using DVD Decrypter, then burning to DVD-R using Nero (UDF/ISO format).
When I either try to play using PowerDVD4.0 or Standalone DVD player, the VIDEO_TS file (either *.IFO or *.VOB) only play for 2 seconds then STOP. It seems as though the the DVD loses its direction and shuts down.
What's more peculiar is that if, within PowerDVD, I choose any of the "main movie" *.VOBs, they play fine. It's just not linking the beginning to the rest of the movie.
Any thoughts? Does Disney have some sort of Anti-ripping code in the VIDEO_TS file?

I highly suspect that Nero may be your culprit. I love it for CD-R but have had mixed success with DVD-R. I have never had a problem with PrimoDVD. To test your RIP copy your DVD-R to your HDD and try using PowerDVD to “play dvd file from harddrive”. If it works then Nero is to blame else we have to dig a little deeper.

I recently made a copy of "The Rock" and I had to have the Volume Name the same as the one on the Original Disk or I would get the same problem. The Volume name should be in CAPS.
