I am looking to buy this device. I want to be able to take movies from my Sony TRV130 DV Cam and edit on my PC and burn to SVCD. More importantly I also want to be able to capture live CATV and archive my favorite shows on my PC. I currently don't own a VCR and it seems I need a VCR to get the CATV source to my PC. Can anyone shed some light on the process of getting CATV into my computer without a TV Tuner Card. I own a Visiontek ti4600 and it has VIVO functionality and installs a psuedo TV Tuner but the input is SVIDEO. Anyone have some suggestions?

VisionTek ti4600 Geforce
