  1. OK, I've searched the forum for about an hour now and haven't seen this exact question addressed.

I downloaded some vcd/mpeg files of a band (ekoostik hookah) that has a taping policy that allows videos of their shows to circulate. I got vcdeasy and burned myself some vcds, everything went great, they play fine in my dvd player.

I have burned, from these same mpeg files on my hard drive, copies for others. So far so good. I notice that on the disks vcdeasy creates, there aren't any mpegs, just dat and vcd and other types of files, in about 4 directories.

Now, so many people want copies of this show that I'd like to start a tree, that is, I want to get copies into other people's hands so they can in turn burn it for others.

I imagine I could give them the mpeg files on disk and they could burn their own and for others, as I did. But then there are these mpeg disks that aren't needed anymore.

What I'm wanting to know is, if I burn the vcds and give those out, can they rip the video from there and burn for others without any loss in quality?

And how can I do this if I get vcds (rather than mpegs) from someone else?

    Thanks in advance...

  3. I can do this with any data burning software - Easy Cd Creator, whatever? No need for special vcd software? That's what I'm wondering, i guess.

    THanks for your help
