i've been following dooom's tutorial and have been using SmartRipper to demux the movie from a dvd and then using ReMPEG to shrink it and make it fit on a DVD-R and then using Spruce to author it, and then Primo to burn it.. and that worked great...
but now i have a movie with subtitles. does anyone know how to add them in? i just want to know what's the easiest way, should i just buy a new authoring app that can import a subtitles? should i burn the subtitles into the image? thanks for any help

Currently we are on the same boat. I also followed Doom9's tutorial and everything is fine except missing subtitle setting. I did some research online and found out Sprucedvd.com is no longer available and unable to be reach. No more support from them. More info can be found here.
So far I only found Pinnacle Impression DVD SE that supports up to 32 subtitles in dvdgear.com.
