when I play it in real player I keep getting an error message saying " A general error has occured MPEG by bitcasting: file format cannot find MPEG file header. This may not be an MPEG file." the file does say that is MPEG. when I try to burn it, it also says that it may not be MPEG and asks if I want to reincode it, when I tried to reincode it it would not let me. can somebody tell me what options to choose to reincode this file using TMPGEnc and nero 5.5.
thanks

you shouldn't be burning it.
the ppl who make movies to have to sell some copes -
Try opening Nero 5.5, Select VCD, Select "New" and drag the MPEG into the window, Select "Write CD" and then Nero should reencode and burn it for you. Takes some time however(up to 6hrs) This method has worked great for me with Divx sources that I download such as Jurassic 3, Planet of the Apes, etc....

First, I'm not going to jump on you like I did that poor kid in the other post.
Second, you really should just go watch the movie at the theater and wait for it to come on DVD.
Third, why are you trying to play MPEG files in RealPlayer? It will take your MPEG files and mysteriously corrupt them! I dont know how or why, but it happens to a lot of people.

I tried to let nero 5.5 re-encode it but it looks to me that it will only encode the first 21 minutes of the film. the film is longer than that.
